Next Tuesday is #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity. While the day was created in response to the pandemic we are all facing, it can – and should be – seen as something so much more.
At CP, we are choosing to participate by asking our friends and family to take time that morning and share on Facebook what they are thankful for. It can be something simple like: I’m thankful for my family, I’m thankful for delivery drivers, I’m thankful for sunny days. We are going to collect all of those messages and create a Thankful Wall right at CP. Our hope is that by the end of the day, our wall will be full of thanks.
It’s amazing how something so simple, like sharing what we are thankful for, can bring us together. That’s the hope with next Tuesday. That despite being apart for so long, we’ll be able to see, quite literally, that we are all still connected by simply giving thanks.
We all have had more time on our hands these days and we hope that you take a few minutes and share a message with us.
If you’d like, you can download our I’m thankful for… template to write your message on. Then snap a quick photo and share it with CP’s Facebook page (or make sure to tag us). If you can’t access the template, no worries, a scrap of paper will do the trick. Or, if you’re in the mood, we’d love to see a video. We just hope that you’ll take a moment to share.
We’ll also be going live on Facebook throughout the morning to give updates on how our wall is filling out and we’ll have a few special guests share what they are thankful for as well.
Because after all of this is over, after we get used to a new normal, we’ll have a lot to be thankful for.
