It's Wildlife Explorer Day with CP and the Wildlife Sanctuary!

Now that the weather is warming up, it’s time to get outside, and there’s no better way to take in all that summer has to offer than a trip to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, June 18 for Wildlife Explorer Day.

CP and the Wildlife Sanctuary have partnered to bring some fun and exploring to this event. The adventure will begin in the Dick Resch Center. Follow the clues, provided by CP clients, and visit different animal stations. Then, head out into the Sanctuary for some wildlife demonstrations and walk the trail. Also included in the day are snacks, a photo area and music by the Good New Band.

And while the event is sure to be fun, there is a reason behind it. The goal for CP is to interact with community members who may not know what CP is or what we do, said Kristen Paquet, Director of Donor Engagement & Marketing for CP. “It provides an opportunity to educate the community about disabilities in a fun way. All a person needs to do is scan a QR code at each animal station and watch a quick video clue provided by a CP client.”

This is also a great opportunity for two community minded organizations to come together. “It’s such a fun opportunity to work with the Sanctuary,” Paquet said. “In fact, everyone had so much fun when the Sanctuary was at CP with a few critters to film the video clues, that we are looking for ways the Sanctuary can visit clients on a regular basis.”
