Spring is in BLOOM at CP
What’s the saying?
April showers bring May flowers.
I don’t know about that happening with Northeast Wisconsin’s
unpredictable weather, but I will say those first few warm weather days always
brings excitement to CP. And probably like you and I, May at CP means one
thing: we head outdoors!
Warmer days find adult clients spending time carefully transferring
plants they’ve been growing during the winter to their permanent home in the
accessible garden, where they will produce a bounty all summer long. For the
art lovers, being outside just means there is another canvas to work from –
bring on the sidewalk chalk art and tie-dying!
Exercise is a huge part of daily activity at CP, and exercising
outside just hits different. Heading outdoors on a three wheel bike, or maybe a
pick up baseball game in the parking lot isn’t too uncommon around here. Not to
mention, childcare kids will finally be able to burn off all of their kiddo
energy on the accessible playground.
And we aren’t just limited to the CP campus, either. Summer
months are a time to explore our community with field trips and community
outings. Visits to the zoo, a concert in the park or a fishing trip are all
things clients and children love to do, and more often than not, they make new
friends no matter where they go.
If you are wondering about the summer at CP, and how you can
easily support some of the favorite outdoor activities, I invited you to look
at our first ever, online only appeal, aptly titled: Bloom.
